Author's Note
This was my first original game project developed in Unity and represents an important milestone in my growth as a game developer. While the project has not yet been released, it provided the opportunity to explore larger-scale game development challenges and significantly expand my technical and design skills.
The project remains an important part of my portfolio because it reflects my transition from learning game development concepts to designing and implementing complete gameplay systems within a production environment.
Project Summary
Development of this project began in early 2025 as an ambitious solo development effort focused on creating a complete 3D game experience. Working on the project required designing and implementing a wide range of gameplay systems, solving complex technical challenges, and making architectural decisions that would support long-term scalability and maintainability.
As the project evolved, it became a valuable platform for developing practical experience in gameplay programming, systems design, debugging, optimization, and production workflows. The challenges encountered throughout development required researching solutions, evaluating trade-offs, and building robust systems capable of supporting future expansion.
Although the project is currently on hold, it remains one of the most influential projects in my professional development. The experience gained through its creation helped shape many of the technical skills, problem-solving approaches, and development practices that I continue to apply in commercial and personal projects today.
